POSITION TITLE: Certified Business Analyst, Small Business Development Center
REPORTS TO: SBDC Director
BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for counseling and training of small business concerns and potential concerns owned and controlled by veterans.  Counseling will include business skill services and assistance in the areas of startup, financial, management, and marketing.  Extensive shared knowledge, skills and ability mentoring is required utilizing one-on-one, group, and/or E-based methods.
CLASSIFICATION: Twelve month, GRANT FUNDED
RESPONSIBILITIES: Small business counseling and mentoring

Data entry and query with management information system

Administrative duties including client file maintenance

Business research

SBDC Program Advocacy and outreach, including public speaking

Teaching business workshops

Website content overview and resource utilization

Professional development required for C.B.A. status

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 5 years assisting in the creation, development, and/or management of small business enterprises.

Served as a resource partner of SBA relating to the formation, management, financing, and operation of a small business enterprise.

A demonstrated record of strong interpersonal, public speaking, and networking skills.

The willingness and ability to work flexible hours to properly reach our working clients.

The willingness and ability to travel.

DESIRED:

BS degree in business administration

Demonstrated small business startup and/or general management experience.

SALARY: $33,000/yr            Grant Funded.
