| POSITION TITLE: | Adjunct Clinical/Didactic Instructor, Sonography |
| REPORTS TO: | Coordinator, Radiography (850-913-3318) |
| BASIC FUNCTION: | Assist and give clinical instruction to students in the operation of sonographic equipment, perform exams, and evaluate scanning protocols with the students in the sonography lab and clinical settings. Some travel may be required. Assist in the instruction of sonography curriculum. Assist with the daily operations of the sonographic laboratory. Establish and maintain ethical working relationships and good rapport with all interrelating hospitals, clinics or physician offices. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Have good communication skills and be proficient in the practice of sonography. |
| CLASSIFICATION: | part-time instructor ($23.30/hour) |
| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: | Appropriate experience or a graduate of a formal sonography program or accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required. BS is desirable. Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the specialty(ies) as appropriate or registry eligible. Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate. |
