TRIO is a collection of programs to help low-income Americans enter college
and graduate. These programs are funded under Title IV of the Higher
Education Act of 1965. TRIO Programs help students overcome class,
social, academic, and cultural barriers to higher education. For more
information about TRIO, click TRIO
Programs.
This program offers students assistance in preparing for transfer to a
four-year institution. The program offers information about state universities,
the application process, transcript evaluations, and course planning.
In addition, free trips to Florida universities are scheduled for
qualifying students each semester. These trips provide students with a
chance to experience the university environment to tour schools they are
interested in attending.
